Meet the maker
Leah of oh & co. family designworks
I began sewing during a season of deep uncertainty, when a beloved family member was diagnosed with cancer. In the midst of the unknown, sewing gave me a way to make sense of things — to bring order, beauty, and meaning through fabric, math, and steady hands. What started as a quiet outlet became a calling. As my children grew, they sat on my lap or stitched beside me, and our little sewing space grew into something more.
Our brand name, oh & co., honors this beginning: “O” for our son, Owen; “H” for our daughter Hattie, and “co.” for the rest of our crew. I’m a self-taught sewist — proudly graduated from YouTube University — with a few local classes and lots of trial, error, and joy along the way. Over time, I’ve moved from quilting into keepsakes and heirloom gifts, but at the heart of every piece is the same story: transformation through making, and I find that quilts offer the best canvas for storytelling.
Every quilt I create is personal. You’ll often find a subtle rainbow or hidden detail tucked into the design — a nod to a favorite color, a memory, or simply a quiet reminder of hope. This is a little-big dream business, growing stitch by stitch. I’m honored to serve clients across Pennsylvania and Maryland in person, and ship nationally to those who find us by word-of-mouth or serendipity. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.
warmly,
Leah
