As a certified teacher and sewist of more than 10 years, I bring both educational experience and deep creative practice to the studio. I’ve even taught my own children to sew on machines beginning at age three, and I’m confident in the patience, flexibility, and techniques required to guide students of all levels — from wonderfully messy creators to those who prefer perfectly straight lines and carefully measured designs.
Membership takes place in a welcoming home studio in. asmall group, allowing for truly personalized instruction and meaningful connection between Members over the course of the season. Each child receives the guidance and encouragement they need to build confidence and develop real skills.
I also believe children benefit from learning to handle real tools with thoughtful supervision. Campers will practice lifelong skills such as using an iron, applying math to their projects, and working responsibly with sharp tools. Sewing becomes more than simply pressing a foot pedal — it becomes a hands-on way to build creativity, problem-solving, and pride in making something with their own hands.
By the end of the Fall session, campers will leave not only with finished projects, but with growing confidence as capable young makers, and hopefully a few new artist friends!
