Projects are chosen to teach foundational sewing skills while leaving room for personalization. Campers will be able to select fabrics and add creative touches so their projects reflect their own style.

As a certified teacher and sewist of more than 10 years, I bring both educational experience and deep creative practice to the studio. I’ve even taught my own children to sew on machines beginning at age three, and I’m confident in the patience, flexibility, and techniques required to guide students of all levels — from wonderfully messy creators to those who prefer perfectly straight lines and carefully measured designs.
Our camp takes place in a welcoming home studio with no more than four campers, allowing for truly personalized instruction. Each child receives the guidance and encouragement they need to build confidence and develop real skills.
I also believe children benefit from learning to handle real tools with thoughtful supervision. Campers will practice lifelong skills such as using an iron, applying math to their projects, and working responsibly with sharp tools. Sewing becomes more than simply pressing a foot pedal — it becomes a hands-on way to build creativity, problem-solving, and pride in making something with their own hands.
By the end of the week, campers leave not only with finished projects, but with growing confidence as capable young makers.

Because camp materials and supplies must be prepared in advance, cancellations made on or before June 1 will receive a full refund.
After June 1, camp registrations become non-refundable. However, the full tuition may be applied as a credit toward a future Summer Stitch Society camp session, a private 1:1 sewing lesson, or a keepsake item from oh & co. family designworks.
Thank you for understanding that the small group nature of camp requires advance preparation and limited enrollment.
